Set in the 1970s, Minions: The Rise of Gru, tells the story of Gru before he became a supervillain. Rejected for membership to the Vicious 6 when they discover he is only 12 years old, the future super villain does not take this rejection lightly.
To prove his worth he steals their powerful Chinese totem that imbues its wearer with animal powers. Now the enemy of the group he goes on the run he teams up with Wild Knuckles former leader of the Vicious 6, who wants to exact his revenge after they betrayed him.
Frequently funny there is enough in this movie to keep the adults laughing along with kids. Watch and enjoy.
