Toast fatigue? 4 quick breakfasts that don’t involve bread

Let’s be honest… we’ve all done it. Morning déjà vu: the same breakfast ritual, another rushed piece of toast, another dash out the door. Really? Again? Ever feel your taste buds are due for an upgrade? Whether you’re simply bored, trying to mix things up, or have discovered you’re out of bread at the worst possible moment, it might be time to think outside the slice. Because breakfast doesn’t have to be boring, and getting creative doesn’t have to be time-consuming either.

“Between getting ready for work and trying to beat the traffic, it’s no surprise that breakfast often becomes whatever is fastest,” says Brigitte Oswell, brand manager at FUTURELIFE®.  “But wouldn’t it be great to shake up the same old daily slice-and-go routine a couple of times a week with easy, delicious alternatives that are quick enough to fit into your morning?”

If you’re ready to break free from the ‘tug of the toaster,’ there’s a whole world of crispy, crunchy, satisfying alternatives waiting to make your breakfasts infinitely more interesting. Besides, variety is the spice of life – and breakfast. Time to mix things up!

Oswell shares four fun, toast-free breakfast recipes that you can whip up in a jiffy. “Designed for real life and real hunger, they provide variety, smart nutrition, and will definitely tickle your taste buds,” she notes. “Whether you’re a parent packing lunchboxes or someone trying to eat better without waking up at 5 a.m.”
