Air treatment specialist Solenco has launched the Hobot LEGEE-Q10 Robot Vacuum Cleaner & Mop in South Africa: a new-generation smart robot vacuum that brings much of the advanced features of Hobot’s premium models, but at a more accessible price.
Tech-savvy consumers will be glad to know the Q10 incorporates much of Hobot’s innovative and patented technology, but with features that have been redesigned to deliver greater value, for example, in its adjusted reciprocate cleaning pads mopping speed at 900 times/minute.
Additionally, the Q10 is circular in design and comes with an innovative ‘corner killer’ flexible side brush, enabling it to clean corners more effectively than ever, says Trevor Brewer, director at Solenco.

This compact (34cm x 34cm x 9.8cm) vacuum powerhouse has the following specifications:
- The new round shape boasts enhanced mobility, making it easy to navigate cluttered spaces.
- The corner killer side brush extends 30mm beyond the device, allowing it to reach into nooks and crannies with 100% efficiency. It also extends 20mm under cabinets, allowing it to pick up dust and dirt in hidden areas.
- It has a 4-in-1 cleaning system, allowing the device to clean with the front suction, sweep with the deep-cleaning brush roll, spray water and reciprocate mop all at the same time. This makes it ideal for pet owners, as pet hair and dander are effectively swept up.
- The reciprocate cleaning pad mops the floor in 900 times/min, 8mm stroke with 600g force and will lift up 8mm when the LEGEE-Q10 is on a carpet. The reciprocating mops can remove and retain the dirt gradually on its front edge.
- The vacuum works on all floor types, with six versatile cleaning modes allowing you to tailor the cleaning to your needs – from deep cleaning to spot cleaning.
- The large dustbin (400ml) and water tank (330ml) reduce interruptions, allowing for extended cleaning sessions.
- It utilises Lidar technology, which uses a laser, as opposed to a camera, for added security, for smart mapping and slam navigation. It also has smart app controls, allowing you to easily manage cleaning remotely.
