An all-new constellation of blockbuster movies at award-winning wine estates awaits – and with over 10 amazing locations to visit, you have lots to do and explore this season.
While you wait for a classic movie to start at sunset on the big screen, you can expect a picnic with yummy food, sweet treats and award-winning wine from South Africa and the Western Cape’s renowned Boland wine valley. A unique experience including games, prizes, giveaways, music and more is perfect for parties, dates and family gatherings. A Galileo evening is something that will have you recommending it to friends and family for ages.
Galileo Winelands favourites Blaauwklippen, Lourensford, Nederburg, Leopard’s Leap, Plaisir, Zevenwacht, Asara, Diemersfontein and Morgenhof remain must-visit venues this season. Spread throughout Stellenbosch, Paarl, Kuilsriver, Wellington, Somerset West and Franschhoek, guests are truly spoilt for choice and can visit premier estates in all major Winelands areas.
Welcoming back old friends
Besides the trusted venues above, The Galileo is happy to welcome back Allée Bleue in Franschhoek and Rhebokskloof in Paarl, which were both a part of the cinemagic experience in the past.
Allée Bleue, one of the oldest estates in our summer rotation (est. 1690), brings heritage and class, and more recently was selected as the new venue for Kamers Makers Market in Cape Town. Rhebokskloof Estate is back in the mix, and with a lovely new restaurant to boot. The green, rolling, leafy lawns of these stunning winelands estates offer views of mountains, lakes or a river and more.
The Royale Experience
The Galileo has also brought back its premium offering, the Galileo Royale. Royale shows take place once a month at Nederburg in Paarl and Norval Foundation in the Constantia Wine Valley. These shows are more intimate with a smaller capacity, and are themed with a curated menu including canapés, a welcome drink, popcorn and a main meal.
Dress up or dress down – just prepare to treat yourself and a loved one at a Royale evening meant to impress.

Doors open at 18h00 on weekdays and 17h00 on Saturdays and Sundays, with the movie commencing after sunset.
